Police raid mining camp, 5 arrested with illegal shotgun

first_imgFive persons have been taken into Police custody following the discovery of an illegal shotgun and pellets at a mining camp at Laurubang Backdam, Mazaruni River, Region Seven.Based on reports received, Police ranks in ‘F’ Division were on an ATV patrol when they received vital information, and they went to a mining camp and carried out a search, during which one 12-guage, single- barrel shotgun was found, along with 100 pellets.At the time of the raid, five men were at the mining camp, and they have all been taken into custody.
